So I think the last topic that I'm hoping to dig in on is a is one that I care a lot about.
2:55:45
My wife thinks I care too much about it, but that is noise complaints.
2:55:51
Noise complaints were up another 10% in the PMMR, 19,403 complaints, on track to be 20% greater than f y '22.
2:56:00
So it's not just it's not just me who's upset about this.
2:56:05
My constituents are particularly excited about the noise cameras that we funded in last year's budget, even though we had to use expense dollars, which pissed me off.
2:56:14
And we're excited about the potential they have for kind of a long term deterrent impact on noise.
2:56:23
So I have a few questions.
2:56:26
I think these are going to be the first noise cameras that are installed in Brooklyn.
2:56:31
I think we're still on pace to install them this year.
2:56:35
Hopefully that's true.
2:56:36
I don't know if you all have any more information on understanding is that there are only nine noise cameras installed citywide right now, but DP is required under local law seven of 2,004 to install five cameras per borough by September of this year.
2:56:51
Is DP on track to meet that requirement?
Rohit Aggarwala
2:56:56
We are not funded to to get to 25.
2:57:01
No.
2:57:02
We I believe we currently have 10 in service around the city.
2:57:07
But it is also important to note that we move them around very intentionally.
2:57:10
Intentionally.
2:57:10
Right?
2:57:11
And and in fact one of the things that we have seen is that, you know, there is a bit of a community of people who have made the amendments to their vehicles that disproportionately generate the violations.
2:57:24
And they do tell each other when they start getting summonses.
2:57:28
And so we do have to keep these things moving.
2:57:32
So I'm I'm not sure whether yours will be the first ever in Brooklyn.
2:57:36
I I will find out whether
Lincoln Restler
2:57:38
We like to be the first.
