Got it.
0:40:04
Thank you.
0:40:04
And finally, talking about bills and legislation, as you all know, one of my priority bills too is around deactivation, the unfair deactivations of taxi drivers and fire vehicle drivers.
0:40:17
As we keep pushing forward and working on legislation.
0:40:20
It's my understanding from the past, our hearings that DCWP is still, supportive overall of
Kenny Minaya
0:40:25
the legislation and moving forward.
0:40:27
Is that still the case?
Vilda Vera Mayuga
0:40:41
Thank you.
0:40:41
Yes.
0:40:42
We do supported it.
0:40:43
That wasn't what I was asking, by the way.
0:40:44
Want to send
Shekar Krishnan
0:40:46
the idea
Jieh Ronowski
0:40:47
that we
Shekar Krishnan
0:40:47
have and I just wanted
Vilda Vera Mayuga
0:40:48
to give you a full answer because we were just talking about resources.
0:40:52
So we just haven't gotten to that part, right, of establishing what new needs that may be depending on our role for that legislation.
0:41:00
But yes, I mean it goes along the lines of what I was saying earlier with expansion of the minimum pay rate as well and things related to it that relate to our delivery workers or those similarly situated.
Shekar Krishnan
0:41:12
Great.
0:41:12
Thank you very much.
Vilda Vera Mayuga
0:41:13
One more thing, sir, for my assistant commissioner as well.
Carlos Ortiz
0:41:15
I just wanted to add, councilmember, I think, of course, certainly supportive of the legislation with respect to deactivation for four high vehicle drivers.
0:41:22
I know also that same hearing we flagged as well that there are deactivation and scheduling concerns that happen in the third party restaurant app delivery sector as well.
0:41:32
I think that's another important part of the conversation to include here.
0:41:35
I think in both those instances for high vehicle drivers or restaurant delivery folks, that there's a certain precariousness to how they're engaged as as as drivers and as riders.
0:41:44
So I think for us, we'd certainly be very excited to continue the conversation on this legislation, and additionally, work with you and work with OMB of any fiscal impacts we have on the on that bill in particular.
Shekar Krishnan
0:41:55
Great.
0:41:55
Thank you very much.
