And, Joe, first, thank you to you and your workers for the Thank you, in our parks.
2:23:38
So 18 park rangers per borrow.
Joseph Puleo
2:23:43
That that's yeah.
2:23:45
I mean, that says that says it all.
2:23:46
And thanks to you and city council.
2:23:48
And let's not forget, you know, this is serious because at one point in time, they were all laid off.
2:23:54
And what civil well, who would wanna take on a civil service job without security?
2:23:58
Imagine being told that you are hired but you might not have a job in a year from now.
2:24:03
Who would take on the burden of taking that role knowing that they want may not have a job?
2:24:09
You know?
2:24:10
And and and not and not just them.
2:24:12
Our city like my colleague, Delsy, said, we also represent city seasonal aides, which are like CPWs but just hired for the summer.
2:24:20
Their head count has been reduced dramatically.
2:24:22
These are the people that clean along side with Dulce's people, clean the parks, the beaches, the pools.
2:24:27
Right?
2:24:27
There's been a significant reduction in their numbers.
2:24:30
And there's still a hiring freeze.
2:24:32
Our associate park service workers cannot be hired because there's also there's also restraints in that in that matter too as well.
2:24:39
So I don't still understand till today why we are at a state of point where we are, where we cannot get people into these positions and let them do what is needed for for this for the city Of New York.
