Council Member Stevens inquires about ACS's efforts to fill vacant positions and any difficulties faced. Commissioner Dannhauser outlines the agency's recruitment strategies:
- New advertisements for Youth Development Specialists (YDS) and Child Protective Specialists (CPS)
- Regular hiring halls and hiring pools
- Monthly YDS classes and four CPS classes, with expanded capacity
- Collaboration between HR team and program staff to improve recruitment
The commissioner notes that while recruitment is challenging, ACS has been successful in identifying strong staff across all areas without particular difficulties in any specific department. Council Member Stevens offers to share job openings with her constituents and colleagues to assist in the recruitment efforts.
