Full restoration of the Friday hours.
1:47:19
Yes.
1:47:19
And, that's what we were all fighting for.
1:47:22
Families and CBOs has also expressed concern that there need to be more option within the summarizing program, especially for some students with middle school.
1:47:30
Some students say, I want to go for enrichment because I don't need the academic portion, right?
1:47:35
We have our students that are going to the next grade, they don't need that.
1:47:37
How do we make it they want to come, they want to go because when we did this the hearing last year, we saw a drop in 500, a hundred and thousand kids apply and then for some reason it starts dropping off.
1:47:50
How do we how do we retain the students?
Keith Howard
1:47:53
So, Uh-huh.
1:47:56
Uh-huh.
1:47:57
I appreciate you being an educator and asking those questions.
1:48:02
We are having conversations and continued conversation with our partner over at New York City Public Schools to make sure that activities, learning are happening continuously throughout the day.
1:48:17
That a young person should not think about hey, you know what, I'm getting stuck in some academic part for the for the morning and then you know then it's fun in the in the afternoon.
1:48:31
DOE, the public schools have been open to having those conversations.
1:48:36
I believe the chancellor and her team had mentioned that as well.
1:48:40
I also wanna highlight the chancellor for the survey that that was performed that showed that you know it's a positive experience to be in summarizing as well.
1:48:51
As we continue to talk about summarizing, and I'm looking in that and sideways to chair Stevens because I know she's gonna say something, but as we continue to look to improve to improve the summarizing experience, you know, from the very launch until where we are now, we've seen major changes.
1:49:10
And I think we just need to continue to communicate, to talk with the parents, to talk with you about what those changes need to be as we continue to build on that program model.
1:49:23
And New York City public schools have been open to those conversations.
