Council Member Restler follows up on the status of reviews of DCAS real estate practices mentioned in previous hearings.
- A review of the 14 Wall Street lease was conducted by the Mayor's Office of Risk Management, with results pending
- DCAS is conducting an internal review of asset and property management practices, including real estate services, facilities management, and construction technical services
- The status of a broader City Hall review of DCAS practices is unclear, with Commissioner Molina referring the question back to City Hall
- DCAS now reports to Deputy Mayor Varlach, the deputy mayor of administration

I have a few follow-up questions from our hearing in October.
1:31:01
After that hearing, then First Deputy Mayor Torres Springer noted that a city hall was conducting a review of policies and procedures across the administration as a whole.
1:31:12
I don't think we ever got an outcome there, but it included it was slated to include decaf's real estate practices.
1:31:18
Do you know if that review has concluded or what happened to it?
Louis Molina
1:31:23
Well, we did have a review of of one lease that we talked about in October which was 14 Wall Street.
1:31:29
Great.
1:31:29
That review was done by Mayor's Office of Risk Management and we are rating the deliberation of the decision of that review.
1:31:35
But we were very cooperative in the process.
Lincoln Restler
1:31:38
Okay.
1:31:38
So no update now.
1:31:40
I think that our good friend at DFTA testified that it's in the final stages at the aging budget hearing.
Louis Molina
1:31:48
I think that's an accurate description of it'll be eminent.
Lincoln Restler
1:31:52
Okay.
1:31:57
A couple other questions here.
1:32:01
So there's no broader review that is happening of decast leasing practices?
Louis Molina
1:32:05
There is.
1:32:06
So executive deputy commissioner Overton and her leadership team is looking at asset and property management overall, which is real estate services, facilities management and construction technical services.
1:32:17
We're in the middle of that process right now to understand best practices in other municipal jurisdictions.
Lincoln Restler
1:32:24
But that's not a city hall review, a decas internal review.
Louis Molina
1:32:26
That's what we're doing internally.
1:32:27
Yes.
Lincoln Restler
1:32:28
Do you know if the city hall review continues or what happened to the
Louis Molina
1:32:31
The largest city hall review, I would I would refer you to them to find out about that.
Lincoln Restler
1:32:34
Okay.
1:32:35
And you currently now report to to to deputy mayor Varlach?
Louis Molina
1:32:39
I do.
1:32:40
The deputy mayor of administration.
