Council Member Oswald Feliz inquires about the most helpful SBS grants for vendors and which ones should be expanded. Mohamed Attia from the Street Vendor Project responds by highlighting the merchant organizing program.
- The merchant organizing program has been received twice by SVP
- The grant allows SVP to build more with the community and work on the ground in specific neighborhoods
- Attia suggests expanding the partnership between SBS and SVP for more meaningful ground-level work

Supporting veterans, youth, seniors.
2:30:37
Love it.
2:30:38
A few questions.
2:30:40
So and I guess this one the first one's for vendors.
2:30:44
What has been some of the most helpful grants for you and the work that you do and and vendors?
2:30:52
The the most helpful SBS grant, and which one would you recommend that be expanded?
2:30:56
I know you somewhat touched on the second question.
Mohamed Attia
2:30:58
Sure.
2:30:59
So one of the grants that we received from SBS, and we this is the second time we actually receive it, is the merchant organizing program.
2:31:08
It is a program that has been really helpful.
2:31:10
It allows SVP to build more with the community and be on the ground in very specific neighborhoods.
2:31:16
So
Oswald Feliz
2:31:17
this
Mohamed Attia
2:31:17
is one way to look at expanding the partnership between SBS and SVP, and of course, do more meaningful work on the ground.
2:31:25
Ground.
Oswald Feliz
2:31:27
Got it.
2:31:28
Okay.
2:31:28
Cool.
2:31:29
Sounds good.
2:31:29
And a second question for Shannon Brown.
