I'm sorry if it's not fully relevant to you all, but I had a question about respite centers, or I don't know if we're calling them respite centers still, the local law we passed.
2:56:04
Wondering for a timeline on the four crisis respite centers that the council was passed legislation on to stand up.
2:56:16
And if we have a timeline or any are operational, if there's a contract out for anything, any information would be helpful if that's relevant to you all.
Michelle Morse
2:56:27
Yes, we do offer crisis respite residences, and folks who are in need are able to stay for up to one week in those crisis respite centers.
2:56:39
I will pass to Doctor.
2:56:40
Wright to share a little bit more about the program.
Dr. Jean Wright
2:56:46
Thank you.
2:56:47
So the crisis crisis residences, I think you referred to previously as respites, provide an alternative to hospitalization, as you know, and people experiencing emotional crisis.
2:56:58
The crisis residences offer stays for up to one week as commissioner stated and provide an open door setting where

people No.
Sandy Nurse
2:57:04
I understand what they are, but just can you give us a
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:07
A timeline.
Sandy Nurse
2:57:07
A timeline.
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:08
I do not have a timeline.
Sandy Nurse
2:57:09
Okay.
2:57:10
What is the what are the bottlenecks that you you can share here with us?
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:17
I will have to get back to you on that specific question.
Sandy Nurse
2:57:21
Okay.
2:57:22
Do you have the money for it, or do you need more personnel?
2:57:25
Do you need to issue an RFP for providers?
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:32
I do not have that information.
2:57:34
I'll have to get back to you on that.
UNKNOWN
2:57:36
Okay.
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:37
I do have an answer to your previous question in terms of the act, if you would allow me.
Sandy Nurse
2:57:42
Yes, please.
Dr. Jean Wright
2:57:42
Okay.
2:57:43
So it's important to recognize that some individuals that are on the referral list for Act are currently receiving Act services and awaiting referral to a team closer to their residence to where they are.
2:57:54
So that as you can imagine this is a very transient population to some degree and the program is designed to meet people where they are at.
2:58:04
And so there are some systemic issues nationwide as you know with access to mental health care, but many of these individuals are already on a team and they're waiting for another to get something closer to home.
Sandy Nurse
2:58:17
Okay.
2:58:18
We were hearing on our end that anywhere from six months to a year for someone who has identified that they could really benefit from this.
2:58:27
You all agree before they actually get that.
2:58:30
We want to help you get what you need to do that because everyone's up in arms about people having a crisis everywhere, and we really want to make sure you have what you need to to attach people and get them to dedicated care.
2:58:44
So please let us know candidly what you need in the follow-up.
Dr. Jean Wright
2:58:49
Absolutely.
2:58:50
We appreciate your support and we will definitely do that.
