Wanna thank chairs Schulman and Lee and the members of the committees on health and mental health disability and addiction for holding this hearing today and allow me the opportunity to testify.

I just wanna make mention I was here for years a few months ago when there was a hearing on public safety.

Unfortunately, then the only discussions was around law enforcement.

I just wanna make sure that we're clear that these conversations, particularly around mental health, are really important when it comes to public safety and we have to broaden the scope of what we think public safety is.
