Christopher Leon Johnson testifies against the June 26 mandate for auto containers, calling for its indefinite postponement. He criticizes the requirement to purchase specific containers and the associated fines, arguing that it's not an effective solution to the city's sanitation issues.
- Johnson claims the container mandate is a "corrupt initiative" and that no organizations, BIDs, or nonprofits agree with it.
- He emphasizes the need to preserve funding for sanitation-related nonprofits, specifically mentioning ACE, The DOE Fund, and Ready, Willing, and Able.
- Johnson urges Mayor Eric Adams to postpone the law and redirect the funds to nonprofits requesting budget allocations.

3:45:52
I am calling on the city council and the mayor's office to re to indefinitely postpone the June 26 mandate for the auto containers.
3:46:02
That bill that was sunk done by the city council is a real corrupt initiative.
3:46:07
Why do we have to, put only one, one container instead of this buy any other container that we wanna buy?
3:46:15
Why is it we have to buy one container buy one container we don't.
3:46:19
We get fined a hundred dollars and $50.
3:46:21
That's not right for anybody.
3:46:23
I understand that you guys gave the developer the contract but that was not right for anybody at all.
3:46:29
I don't think that none of the organizations agreed with this, none of the bid's, none of the the nonprofits like Ace, none of the none of the nonprofits agreed with this stuff.
3:46:39
This need to be postponed indefinitely postponed.
3:46:41
Eric Adams on his way out.
3:46:43
If he wanna do the right thing, White One is on his way out, he need to postpone this this postpone this law to make sure that nobody that we could just use any container we want we want a container.
3:46:54
I understand we got a rat issue in the city Of New York.
3:46:56
We got a trash issue.
3:46:57
We got a combust issue, but just making everybody go on a website and buy one container is not gonna solve anything.
3:47:03
And we just saw in the New York Post that that container wasn't doing anything what it put a hole in the like a rack is completely ate through the through the container so that container is not even a viable container.
3:47:15
So that's all be to keep it and and yeah, we gotta save all these, nonprofits in the city council that deal with sanitation, preserve all these nonprofits, make sure they all keep their funding especially ACE ACE the laws great great work in the community.
3:47:28
My my district in in intact.
3:47:30
The DOE fund, ready, willing, and able.
3:47:32
All these obviously do do do do the right thing.
3:47:34
But mister Abreu, I know you backing Adams but to do the right thing he has to post indefinitely postpone this law.
3:47:43
This is just take that money and get to these nonprofits that was out here today that was that's that want that money for the budget this this cycle.
3:47:49
