  • DOB will monitor the situation and consider potential rulemaking or law changes if needed

So in the first compliance period, the emissions levels are set quite high.

So most buildings, with the exception of some super manufacturers, can comply, but they might not be able to comply at this point in time, right, like last year.

So building owners who are working with us, we will work with them through a mediated resolution to give them a little bit more time as long as they show that they have the permits, they're doing the work.

So that's not a problem.

We called any building you sent to us, we called and we hooked them up with their case manager.

And so we will see what they say in their compliance report, which we're receiving in the past three weeks.

We opened up our portal so building owners have started to comply.

And over the next six months they'll be able to report, and so as we get them in we'll be able to gauge the compliance numbers better.

But we will work with any building owner who is working with us.

Okay, but then what happened, I mean I assume there are some builders that can't comply.
