Various studies have demonstrated that reconsolidation of traumatic memories, we call RTM, and meditation are effective approaches in addressing post traumatic stress and other mental health concerns among veterans.

In the council's fiscal twenty twenty five budget response, we called on the administration to fund $50,000 for an RTM pilot program, which is a very small amount, to provide this trauma treatment to city veterans impacted by PTSD.
