I have two bills in today's package.
0:28:20
One would establish time limits for property owners to file for permits to do the work on their facades after scaffolding has been put up.
0:28:30
Another would establish time limits for doing the work.
0:28:33
I have another bill that would increase the lighting requirements under scaffolding.
0:28:39
So I thought before today that everyone knew that gay men hated overhead lighting.
0:28:45
It's a % true.
0:28:47
The one exception I would say is sidewalk scaffolding.
0:28:52
If if you invite me to your house, I will turn off your overhead lighting and turn on all the lamps.
0:28:58
But scaffolding is different.
0:29:01
Our legislation will increase the lighting requirements.
0:29:05
It'll require LED lighting.
0:29:07
The lighting technology has changed since we have since we put light bulbs under scaffolding.
0:29:14
We have LED light strips brighter, safer, more energy efficient.
0:29:19
So proud to be part of this package of legislation.
