I know that the majority leader spoke a little bit on the Blue Highway project, which I am extremely happy about.

Through the advocacy of my office, we were able to clear out the barge, right, and move the detainees out of there.

So do you have an idea when we're gonna actually get rid of that floating jail that's just sitting there empty?

Unfortunately, council member, I am not as up to date on the barge issue, but I am happy to bring that back and get you an answer on that.

Okay.
0:55:54
The only concern that I have is, Denise, and I wanted to put this on the record.
0:55:58
It's important I know that there's a letter floating around from EDC trying to get support on the Blue Highways project on the property where the barge is currently located.

But in conversations with my office, we had conversations on the parking lot of the fish market.

And so I just want to make it clear that that barge was there for over thirty years.
0:56:19
The community wants access to that waterfront space.
0:56:22
It's not to say that we can't share that property, but it's important that you go back to the community before a letter starts circulating for a letter of support and actually get a vote from the community board.
0:56:33
Let the community tell us what we actually want on that piece of property.
0:56:36
But know that I am supporting this process, just looking for transparency, ensuring that they are part of that process.
