Speaker Adams introduces two final pieces of legislation focused on emergency preparedness for flash floods and long-term planning for public bathrooms in the city.
- Introduction 807-A requires NYC Emergency Management to disseminate localized emergency preparedness materials in flood-prone areas and develop guidance for safe evacuations
- Introduction 694-A creates a permanent long-term strategic planning process for establishing and maintaining a citywide public bathroom network, with the goal of providing at least 2,120 public bathrooms by 2035

Introduction eight zero seven a, also sponsored by majority Whit Brooks Powers, would require the New York City Emergency Management to disseminate localized emergency preparedness materials in locations that are prone to flash floods.

This aims to increase public awareness on flash flood risks to boost registration for the emergency notification system.

Additionally, NISM would be required to develop guidance for facilitating safe evacuations before flash flood emergencies.

The relevant agencies would be required to produce a strategic planning report to be updated every four years with the goal of providing at least 2,120 public bathrooms by the year 02/1935, at least half of which would be publicly owned.
