I don't I don't remember, I don't recall, but this site has been noted by legal service providers across the board particularly with all these mandates that are coming from the federal government.
1:44:28
And also the new scams of people receiving direct emails, receiving correspondence through mail that says they should be deporting themselves.
1:44:40
Is that something that has come to the awareness of the agency?
Michael Tiger
1:44:44
I mean I think we're publicly aware of that.
1:44:47
We haven't gotten individual complaints about it, but we are aware we read the same reports that you have seen.
1:44:52
But if you, again, any of your constituents faces that and has like a natural letter that they can forward to that, that always will be helpful.
Alexa Avilés
1:45:00
Yeah.
Carlos Ortiz
1:45:01
There are a few community based organizations that have raised this question of the information coming out to self deport and that's a conversation we're having with them as well off the back of our roundtable we had the other week.
1:45:12
So
Alexa Avilés
1:45:13
in the instance of this particular website that is clearly fraudulent and very, very dangerous, how does the agency begin to try to address this issue?
Michael Tiger
1:45:31
I mean, it's definitely something we're looking at.
1:45:34
That's why of course we're engaging with all the other state regulatory stakeholders in the city.
1:45:40
That's something we can talk with them, with those partners about what's the best approach.
1:45:45
It can be a challenge to take down fraudulent websites.
1:45:49
It's something that we deal with in subject matter areas that we regulate.
1:45:56
But it's definitely a real harm.
1:45:58
And we recognize that.
1:45:59
And we definitely, it's something worth thinking about and thinking about with partners about the best way to approach.
