Parra emphasized the negative impact on patient care and cited a recent tragedy involving a community advocate.

So thank you for having me.

There's a real inadequacy when it comes to the gender act in the hospitals and the care that patients receive because of their their gender identity, and it's been a really, really bad situation for me and as well as a tragic and devastating situation for one of the community advocates that passed away this past week from a hospital being negligent first with handling their care, and there needs to be some things that change about that.

Like, staff needs to be trained in these hospitals that gen the gender act the on the gender act because it's it's the law, and they're violating people's legal rights now when they're going to these hospitals, calling them sirs or calling them out of their preferred name and sometimes even giving them lackluster care because of their gender identity, and that's not right.

That's all I have.
