Council Member Brooks-Powers inquires about data collection on the performance of the overnight truck parking program and future expectations. Deputy Commissioner Beaton explains that it's too early for data collection but shares expectations for the program's future.
- No data has been collected yet as the program is only a few weeks old
- DOT expects the parking locations to be well-used due to high demand for truck parking in the city
- The department anticipates that trucks will use these designated locations instead of parking in nearby residential areas
- If successful, the program could be expanded to other parts of the city to address the broader truck parking issue

Not yet.

We're just a few weeks in.

What are your expectations going forward?
Eric Beaton
0:45:46
So our expectation is that these will be well used.
0:45:51
We think there's such a demand for truck parking in the city that they will be well subscribed to.
0:45:58
And that as a result they will be in these locations and not in the nearby residential locations.
0:46:05
Now obviously like three locations around the city is not something that we say will solve the entire problem.
0:46:10
But if this treatment works as we expect it to, it's something we could look at in other parts of the city as well.

I'm gonna pivot now to daylighting.
