Council Member Shaun Abreu asks about BIC's process for addressing concerns regarding the sale of non-awardee carters to Commercial Waste Zone awardees. Commissioner Liz Crotty explains that BIC's actions are guided by city code rules and regulations, not by commercial waste zones specifically.

  • BIC follows city code rules and regulations, not CWZ-specific guidelines
  • Sales applications and subcontracts must be verified and adhere to BIC rules
  • BIC's process is not specific to commercial waste zones

Which if any concerns has BIC worked to address regarding the sale of non awardee Carter's to commercial way zones awardees and can you please describe that work?
Liz Crotty

Well again we're guided by not by commercial weigh zones but by our rules set rules and regulations set out in the city code.

So our sales applications and subcontracts all have to be verified and put through the BIC rules, and that's what we we adhere to for the companies.
