Proposal 4 would update loading dock requirements so that additional loading docks are not mandated when older commercial buildings change uses over time.

New construction would still require loading docks. This allows more flexibility for businesses to adapt existing buildings.

We want to modernize our loading dock rules so that buildings can adapt over time.

And our rules today has a square footage multiplier for commercial and manufacturing to calculate what sort of loading you need to provide in a building that is evolving over time.
