My name is Ben Wetzeler.

I am a lifetime eCider.

I was the Democratic Party district leader for 6 years for the area that covers the MSK site.

So I have been in touch with the members of the community and deeply kind of connected to their interests and their concerns.

And I really just wanted to take this time today to say thank you to council member Menin for how great she has been in engaging with everybody in the neighborhood on the potential for quality of life impacts and making sure that they really mitigate it because I do think that it's very important that this application move forward.

The I don't think that there's a single person in New York City who has not known somebody who received who suffered from cancer and who needed to get lifesaving care and the work that MSK does and the investment that they're planning on making in expanding that capacity is really something that we absolutely need to move forward within our city.

And so I want to say that I really hope that we can come to an agreement between the community and MSK on how we can do this.
