- DOC conducts a preliminary investigation when allegations are made
- Reassignment is not automatic but based on assessment of all factors
- The timeline for reassignment decisions varies depending on the circumstances
- DOC agreed to provide more detailed information about the process and timelines in a follow-up

Does DOC have a process to reassign officers who have been accused of sexual misconduct so they do not work in the Rosenzinger Center?
2:24:18
So just to clarify, so if there is someone if an allegation is made through your grievance process, And, like, tomorrow or today, when that filters up the chain, do you all have a process where you reassign them away from the women's facility?
2:24:47
Okay.
2:24:47
And how what is the time period from when the right individuals within DOC learn of this and the reassignment or evaluation of the need to reassign is made.
2:25:16
Okay.
2:25:16
Do we have an average time frame?
2:25:18
Like, like a protocol?
2:25:23
Yeah.
2:25:23
Just like a a broken down simplified.
2:25:26
It hits here.
2:25:27
It goes to these people.
2:25:29
They make a decision.
2:25:29
They have this amount of period.
2:25:31
I think in our in the grievance hearing, I know what we took talked about, and we have the transcripts where you all do have some time marks where whereas people have to be responded to it.
2:25:41
So I do recall that, but I know when it's sexual assault, it's a different group of people who deal with it, and so I know it would be helpful to know those timelines.
James Conroy
2:24:09
That is part of the internal assessment of all these cases.
2:24:12
Yes.
2:24:12
Not specifically to that facility.
2:24:14
But with respect to any allegation and victim.
2:24:39
There's a preliminary investigation and all factors are taken into consideration, so I I would not categorize it as automatic.
2:24:45
But, yes, there is a process.
2:25:01
I I think that's subjective.
2:25:03
I I don't have stats onto the exact time frames, but the notifications obviously are made as we talked about with any incidents very quickly.
2:25:11
And then, again, each each incident and and circumstances objective to, you know, what's going on.
2:25:21
I I don't.
2:25:21
We could follow-up
2:25:51
Yeah.
2:25:51
We'll we'll take that back and get back to you, Jack.
2:25:53
Thank you.
