- Backyard ADUs are prohibited in historic districts and certain contextual low-density districts, except near public transit stations
- ADUs are limited to covering no more than 33% of a rear yard and are generally restricted to one story
- A homeowner occupancy requirement is introduced, mandating that a homeowner live on the property when the ADU is first built
