Every yellow cab is equipped with TPEP (Taxicab Passenger Enhancement Project) technology and connected to an app.
While there isn't a unified app, major apps like Curb and Arrow work together to provide e-hail services for yellow cabs.
Passengers can pay through the app, pair and pay, or use other flexible payment options.
The TLC continues to work with technology providers and e-hail services to encourage further innovation in the industry.

I'm very proud to say that our yellow system is probably, the most technologically advanced yellow system, in the country.

Not only does it have a TPAP technology, system within the vehicle, but every single vehicle is connected to, an app.

So Curb and Arrow work together.

They're the most primary dominant apps, in the industry.

So when you get into a a yellow taxi, you can either pay on your app, you can pair and pay, or or you could do multiple things.

In other jurisdictions, that just doesn't, is not available.

And so, you know, we will continue to look at innovation in this space.

We continue to work with the, the technology providers, the eHail providers to see what the next steps are.

But part of it, is providing Curb, Aero, e any other eHail providers just a little bit of flexibility, so that they can innovate.
