Good afternoon and thank you Sue for being here.
1:44:26
I have to give a shout out for my new director for Marine Park, Eric Peterson and of course Marty.
1:44:33
I love parks.
1:44:37
Given the increase of fires in parks, right, I started hearing it.
1:44:42

Susan Donoghue
1:44:47
Thank you for the question.
1:44:50
And obviously that was, you know, it was so alarming for us council member what we saw comes out of, you know, the driest October on record in history.
1:45:00
We have, through our natural resources group, spent years focused on how we can do the best in terms of maintaining our urban forest, reducing phragmites, reducing invasive species and mugwort, things that are more likely to choke and damage forests.
1:45:19
So it's really a continuation of our ongoing work.
1:45:23
We have also we are also part of a task force with FDNY and our sister agencies given what we all experienced with the wildfires last fall, working together, seeing how we can all make sure that our response, our interaction is the most efficient at dealing with what we know will be ongoing situations because of climate change.
