Chair if I could just add one other, I have to say it publicly but deputy commissioner Sanabria and deputy commissioner Agarte deserve tremendous credit for changing our internal par process.
4:13:59
Forget about the OMB process.
4:14:01
Internally, we had our own issues.
4:14:02
It was like the place where information and hope went to die, the part process.
4:14:07
You talk to any of the assistant commissioners or deputy commissioners, they will tell you it is completely different.
4:14:13
Also wanna give a shout out to our chief of staff, Jason Ruzewski, for calling BS on the process.
4:14:19
But but but Mark and Gina have changed Thanks, Jason.
4:14:23
So that internally, deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners know where their hirings are at and they've turned it around.
4:14:32
And I'm also really proud of the fact that in the two years that we've been a team, we have a 20 internal promotions.
4:14:41
And that's we're giving folks a pathway.
4:14:44
Folks who have demonstrated that they're doing an excellent job.
4:14:48
We're trying to move them up and they're the next generation of leadership.
4:14:53
And again, that that process has been expedited by the two deputy commissioners to my right.
4:14:59
Amazing.
Mark Sanabria
4:15:02
If I could just add, so to to the commissioner's point about internal hiring and and promotional opportunities, we look to grow to our staff in terms of retention.
4:15:12
Right?
4:15:12
Everybody wants to stick around and grow with the agency and we try to build a sense of community and family at the agency.
4:15:19
I'm a product of that.
4:15:20
I was an unpaid intern thirty years ago and I'm here today.
4:15:24
We have a very robust youth program over 15 different programs with a 74 kids that have gone through that program.
4:15:33
We continue to take employee engagement opportunities to keep the staff, but there are challenges for us in doing so.
4:15:41
So we're working very hard to bring in as many candidates as we can.
Pierina Sanchez
4:15:45
Yeah.
4:15:46
I really love to hear that.
4:15:47
Thank you, thank you for sharing.
4:15:49
Unpaid and CERN thirty years ago.
4:15:51
Wow that's incredible.
4:15:52
And that's what we should be doing right across our agencies.
James "Jimmy" S. Oddo
4:15:55
Only to be outdone, excuse me because this would be fun when we get back to February.
4:15:59
Only to be outdone by thirty eight years ago, a high school what was the co op program?
4:16:06
Right?
4:16:06
Ah.
4:16:07
Sierra Leone.
4:16:08
Now they they commute together so they'll be talking about this later tonight.
4:16:13
We'll have a little fun.
Pierina Sanchez
4:16:14
That's incredible.
4:16:15
That's incredible and that's then that's what we want to hear.
4:16:18
Thank you so much for that.
