I do want to just state for the record that council member Osei and I have been very clear that we are interested in collaboration and partnering with the administration on redeveloping these sites.

We have no interest in adversely impacting sensitive communities within the Department of Education.

But I do think if we can work together to find a way to mitigate those impacts and build more affordable housing, particularly including for the families whose students might be attending those schools, then that's certainly a goal that I think we all share.

Essentially as noted that this is a very large site, has active uses on-site.

Potentially relocating those uses from the site could you know be challenging.

We're looking for alternate sites for those school facility uses in the nearby area.

That could mean locating them on another city on-site.

All of this requires a lot of time and due diligence and potentially cost and there's a lot to assess to kind of consider the overall project scope and timeline.
