I'm gonna talk a little bit about career advancement.
0:42:47
The EEPC under utilized analysis of the twenty twenty four workforce found that black workers were the most underutilized in managerial job groups and women were underrepresented in these fields like law enforcement, skilled trades.

These positions generally offer above average city salaries making their under representation particularly concerning.

So the most important tool that we have in our toolkit right now is to get the contract for the pay equity analysis underway.
0:43:26
That effort will allow us an opportunity to have a title by title analysis to identify the issues and then develop you know recommendations and ideas on how to address.
0:43:40
In addition to that, know we work in a highly civil service environment.
0:43:44
80% of the jobs that are offered through city government require the require participants to take a civil service exam, and most of those titles have built in progression, you know like from you know you come in at an entry level title and then you know once you become permanent you're able to take a promotion exam.
0:44:06
So a lot of that stuff is is built into the system.
0:44:10
So I think that once we get the pay equity analysis underway, we can come up with you know thoughts and ideas on how to address some of the under utilization at the title level.
