- The district currently has 271 affordable housing units, which is noted as a high number compared to other city council districts
- The proposed project would add 54 new affordable units to the district
- The speaker commends Council Member Schulman for her efforts in creating affordable housing in the district
- There's a brief discussion about potentially additional affordable units from a recent development (Tower Diner site) that may not be included in the current count

The council member's district here, this slide shows has 271 affordable housing units.

Of all the land use applications that I make to the city council, this is one of the higher numbers that I've seen in the entire city.
0:10:13
Most of them are in the single digits.
0:10:15
So the council member has done a very good job of creating affordable housing within the district and this would add to it.
0:10:21
Right now, there are 271 units and we're gonna add an additional 54.
0:10:26
So and you could see on the top right of this map all the different units that have been created.

0:10:50
I cannot tell you enough.
0:10:51
Everybody says they want affordable housing.
0:10:54
Every time I walk in with most of my applications and staff testing this, there's none in most other districts.
0:10:59
So you're creating it and it's it's to be applauded.
0:11:01
Because as you could see from 9881, as soon as it went up, it's leasing right up.
0:11:05
People are eager for it.
0:11:07
Everybody's everybody loved the Tower Diner, but everybody also loves that there's housing available.
