Hi.
5:06:43
Yeah.
5:06:43
I'm Richard Parker from, I live in Greenpoint, and I live right around the corner from McGolrick Park and McCarren Park.
5:06:51
I have a second grade daughter who is about four feet tall, and I'm looking forward to the time when she's gonna be able to start exploring the city a little bit more on her own.
5:07:02
But I'm really comfortable with letting her around the neighborhood, you know, in a couple years, but I our neighborhood is very safe except for the traffic.
5:07:12
And, it terrifies me just the thought of her trying to cross streets here.
5:07:16
She, she can't see over cars.
5:07:18
And in order for her to get out to take a look, to see if anything's coming, she has to actually walk out into this into the street.
5:07:26
And it's just it's not safe.
5:07:28
And, you know, we keep saying that kids these days need to get off their screens and get out, you know, like old times, get out in the playgrounds and, you know, meet with each other, go to their friends' houses and whatnot, and we can't give them that freedom if they can't be safe crossing the streets.
5:07:45
It's just terrible.
5:07:46
And so we know we know what's gonna happen if this, isn't passed.
5:07:50
If we don't have daylighting, there's gonna be more deaths.
5:07:53
And, it's, it's important for us to to do what we know is best and in the best interest of our our kids.

Thank you.
