Hi.
4:57:09
My name is Rohit, and I live in Downtown Brooklyn.
4:57:12
I'm a pedestrian and a cyclist, but beyond this, I support this bill because I believe it'll benefit everyone, and we have a shared duty as New Yorkers to protect each other.
4:57:21
Far too often, I find myself crossing intersection with poor visibility due to parked cars fearful that even though I'm crossing legally and with the right of way, a distracted driver might maim or kill me.
4:57:32
My heart breaks when I read about that very same fear being realized for someone else.
4:57:36
I cannot bear another dead neighbor, another grieving family, another preventable accident happening on our watch.
4:57:43
It doesn't have to be like this.
4:57:46
I'm excited for the opportunity in front of city council.
4:57:49
We can decide what kind of a city we wanna be.
4:57:51
I urge you to do the right thing and pass bill eleven thirty eight to protect New Yorkers at every intersection in every neighborhood.
4:57:58
Thank you for your time.
