Thank you, chair.
1:04:20
Just as my colleague mentioned, is it possible you can share the corridors that you mentioned, the 15 corridors and the precincts with this committee so we can see where they are?
1:04:29
And on Ocean Park how far are you going in that visibility?
1:04:33
Because I also share Ocean Parkway in my district, just want to know how far that part is going in terms of enforcement and because that whole corridor, that whole Ocean Parkway right by the circle is also very dangerous and I think it also contributes because of street design.
1:04:49
So I don't know if you ever look at the way the street is designed, it also creates a safety issue as well.
1:04:55
How do you work with DOT post accident because I also lost a couple of constituents in my district to cyclists as well, so after an accident how do you work with DOT to improve that corridor?
1:05:10
Is there anything and I've been constantly calling on Dorchester to be looked at and that's why I'm a very big proponent of supporting daylighting because I have a senior center right by Dorchester in Marlborough and the cars are speeding all the time.
1:05:24
I have an elementary school right down the block PS 139 and students are interacting in that space, but DOT said they were gonna do the study, they said there was nothing, but the time they decided to do the study was when the kids were out.
1:05:37
That doesn't help.
Olufunmilola "Lola" Obe
1:05:44
Council member, just to your first question about the Ocean Parkway corridor, so we have it touching the 6061 and the 66 Precincts.
Rita C. Joseph
1:05:52
And the 72?
1:05:53
Because it overlaps with 72 And 6 6.
1:05:57
That's my corridor.
1:05:58
Yeah, we
Olufunmilola "Lola" Obe
1:05:58
have specifically 6061 And 66.
Rita C. Joseph
1:06:00
Because I'm doing a walk through there I think this week because of safety issues with the bike lane, with the bike lane and the traffic, so I'm doing a walk through there all of the agencies involved, and I think you guys are coming along as well.
1:06:14
Yes.
1:06:14
But it's not just where the accident happened, it's that whole strip of Ocean Parkway.
Olufunmilola "Lola" Obe
1:06:18
So, is one of the things that we do well, if there is some consideration about extending into the 72, you said?
Wy Jennings
1:06:24
Mhmm.
Olufunmilola "Lola" Obe
1:06:24
We can certainly do so, but again we work very closely with the DOT and considerations are put into the reason for extension.
1:06:33
So we'll meet with you and with DOT and consider extending it to the seven two.
