CUNY representatives explain the CUNY EDGE program, which supports students on public assistance, including help with accessing Fair Fares and other transportation assistance programs.
- CUNY EDGE specifically supports students who are on public assistance
- The program helps students who may overlap with Fair Fares income eligibility
- CUNY EDGE assists students with the application process for various support programs
- Other academic programs like CDSEQ, CUNY ASAP, and ACE also incorporate transportation assistance

So currently at CUNY, we have CUNY EDGE that supports students that are on public assistance and so those students also overlap in terms of the income levels for Fair Fairs and are being reviewed and assisted at that level.

Whether it goes beyond that then it may go to the academic programs such as CDSEQ or with CUNY ASAP ACE that also builds it into their programs whereas EDGE is actually ushering the students towards the application process separately but that is outreaching to students and on public assistance primarily.
