- Council Member Sanchez highlights recent outages and their impact on scheduled appointments
- HPD takes immediate action when problems are identified, sometimes resulting in temporary site shutdowns
- Notifications about outages are sent to marketing agent partners, housing ambassadors, and teams
- Notices are also posted on the website
- Outages typically last for an hour or two, with notifications sent as soon as possible, sometimes on short notice

Thank you so much.

It's a great segue to my next question.
0:26:41
My my team in the last two weeks has flagged for me multiple times, multiple outages of of Housing Connect, which is a really big problem because we have seniors, per persons that, you know, have they're digitally divided.
0:26:55
Right?
0:26:55
And they have appointments that they schedule months in advance sometimes because they're a very long waiting list for housing ambassadors.
0:27:02
And now the day that their appointment is scheduled for, Housing Connect is down.
0:27:06
So what what is this notice?
0:27:08
How far in advance are you telling the public that Housing Connect is going to have an outage?
0:27:50
closer to you.
0:28:18
Got it.

I would like to acknowledge that we've been joined by council member Abreu and turn it council member Dinovitz for questions.

So as soon as we find out that there's a problem, and I'm gonna actually ask Emily to build where I'm missing.
0:27:19
As soon as we find out that there's a problem, often that's the moment we take action.
0:27:24
If we realize that there's is an inability to correctly use the site or the site's malfunctioning, then and if there's not something we can do to create sort of a safe mode environment for it to move forward with, then we'll take out the site, take down the site and we'll notify people.
0:27:41
But Emily, you could explain for it.
Emily Osgood
0:27:44
Sure.
0:27:45
We're notifying marketing agent partners Yeah.
0:27:51
Mhmm.
0:27:51
I never wanna be that person shouting into the mic.
0:27:55
Notifying What's wrong with marketing agent partners, housing ambassadors, our teams, and putting the notice up on the website.
0:28:07
Usually, a the site has to be down for just an hour or two, we're working up until that point.
0:28:14
So it may be the day before, it may be the day of.
