Jennifer Gutiérrez

there an evaluation done?
1:40:13
I believe at one of the hearings, the commissioner said that there was like an internal evaluation of the plan of the Internet master plan.
1:40:22
Is that does that exist?
Brett Sikoff
1:40:24
I don't know that there's a formal like paper evaluation, but there were certainly many, many discussions early on in the administration as to how best to proceed with both with the master plan and ultimately what turned out to be the Big Apple Connect program.
1:40:36
So there there were many evaluations.
1:40:38
I don't know that there's a physical document.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
1:40:40
Really?
Brett Sikoff
1:40:41
I don't know.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
1:40:42
You don't know that it exists.
1:40:43
I mean I I would be very disappointed if there's not something more formal.
1:40:46
It was it was, you know, it was a really big document.
1:40:49
It was brought together by a major coalition.
1:40:52
Obviously, some of the members of that coalition felt like it was a slap to the face to to abandon this plan.
1:40:59
And so and it was that process was really formalized.
1:41:03
So I would if if you can confirm that there was no formal evaluation, and if there is one, if you could share.
1:41:09
But if there wasn't, I would be really, really disappointed that there was no Considering the time that took to put together, it would be really, I think, disrespectful if OTI didn't formally provide something to especially the providers that were on, you know, that were on the hook originally just respect to the coalition members?
Brett Sikoff
1:41:29
Yeah, mean, certain.
1:41:31
I hope it goes without saying, but we do have a tremendous amount of respect for all those providers, not just the ones who are initially contracted with, but the entire industry who seeks to do a whole lot of good in the city.
1:41:44
We did at the time, I do recall, we made personal phone calls to representatives, to the CEOs of each of those companies, letting them know of the city's intent to move away from the IMP in another direction.
1:41:58
So there was considerable effort to ensure that they were communicated with once the decision was arrived at.
