Have you all updated a broadband map at this point?
Brett Sikoff
0:22:10
So we have a public asset map, includes information on how people can either sorry, mentioned about Big Apple Connect, the locations, link five gs's where public computer centers are access to that.
0:22:24
But in terms of a broadband map, please.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:22:27
Just to share, think, I mean, you said that technically every New Yorker at this point has access to broadband.
0:22:33
Just the visualization of understanding the technicalities of, yes, broadband access is everywhere, cellular access is everywhere, but the connectivity of household to household, is there a map that exists?
0:22:45
Or are you all using the New York State broadband map going forward?
Brett Sikoff
0:22:49
So we've certainly looked at the connect all maps and the information that they provided.
0:22:53
We looked at census data, but I don't know that we have that particular information in terms of broadband adoption and the percentage and the geographic locations of those.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:23:02
So and and and I'm sorry if you said it.
0:23:04
So is is there there is no map currently for New York City.
Brett Sikoff
0:23:08
For broadband adoption?
0:23:10
I'd have to double check to see if there is an updated number based on current data or if we're utilizing now five year old information.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:23:18
Okay.
0:23:19
So in in back in 2022, finance chair Brennan had asked for a map of all infrastructure in the city and included streets, blocks.
0:23:29
You know, he wanted specifics about what might not be covered, and I believe the commissioner said that they would that there exist one exists and that he would provide one.
0:23:37
So that is that's the map that I'm referring to.
Brett Sikoff
0:23:40
Of areas that have Internet access?
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:23:43
Yeah.
0:23:43
Think just, like, very plainly, just being able to see, like, where there's access, where there isn't, where people are connected.
0:23:50
And I think for you all, as you obviously have been working through the digital road map, I'm assuming you would have that, right, just to kind of see where areas of targeted outreach, you know.
0:24:02
So that is an ask from a little while back ago, so that's referring to.
0:24:07
So do you do you have one or do you not have one?
0:24:09
Is it internal?
Brett Sikoff
0:24:10
Let's get back to your staff as to what we have and what we could provide.
