Council Member Bottcher inquires about the planned locations for charter bus drop-offs and pick-ups in the Western Rail Yards project. Related Companies representatives provide limited information.

  • The EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) addresses charter bus traffic
  • Related Companies evaluated bus traffic and identified a couple of drop-off points
  • One drop-off point is off Eleventh Avenue
  • The EIS assumptions showed limited bus traffic generated by the site
  • Wynn's business plan does not include significant charter bus traffic

Charter buses.

Where do you envision the charter buses dropping off and picking up passengers in your plan?
1:01:02
You must know that answer.
1:01:06
Like where are you dropping off and picking up people in buses?
Elise Wagner

That's another thing that's specifically addressed in the EIS and we'd be happy to provide a response in writing.

We did look at the bus traffic from this site.
1:01:15
There wasn't a ton generated based on the EIS assumptions.
1:01:18
But we did evaluate that and we had a couple of drop off points, one off Eleventh Avenue.
1:01:24
And again, there wasn't a significant impact to the traffic.

It is not really the business plan of when to have significant charter bus traffic as part of their business operations.
