  • Banks criticizes the delay in addressing the footbridge's condition and calls for consistent maintenance, not just a one-time fix.
  • He expresses support for containerization as a step towards a cleaner city but emphasizes that the city should lead by example.

My office and three one one have been flooded with calls from residents asking for something to be done, and they've absolutely correct.

When you walk by and you see trash piling up, the smell, the stench, you watch rats roaming around like they own a place, It's unsettling.

I've spoken with neighbors who say it's not just nasty, it's downright depressing.

This is city owned property and it would never have been it should have never been allowed to get this bad and definitely shouldn't have been taken taken until taken care of until this morning to start the cleanup.

Many of my colleagues and I support containerization as a step towards a cleaner and safer city, but we can't ask our business and residents to follow a higher standard than the city is willing to meet itself.
