So we are doing work on sharing outreach and education materials prepared by the agencies that are here beside me today.

DSNY is not primarily an outreach and education agency on this.

We are the lead enforcement agency.

However, the warnings are created and our written warning notices are created in coordination with the outreach and education agencies.

We also have done tremendous work including with a lot of guidance from the majority leader on increasing the cultural competence and language access of our enforcement teams.

We obviously use LanguageLine as so many other city agencies do, but we also have sanitation police officers who are either native speakers or fluent in seven languages.
