Good morning.
1:51:26
My name is Clotilde Juarez.
1:51:29
I am a street vendor.
1:51:31
I live and work at Queensborough.
1:51:35
I'm here to ask you to ask the council that I need you to approve the reform package for street vendors.
1:51:44
And they are the proposals four thirty one, four zero eight, 40 seven, and 24.
1:51:51
As a single mother, because I'm a single mother, and a lot of us are single mothers, and we are also grandmas.
1:52:01
And a lot of us have to take care of our grandchildren.
1:52:11
And even a lot of us are survivors of domestic violence.
1:52:57
We sell products and we make sure to take food to the table to our households.
1:53:03
We have to pay rent.
1:53:05
So I have to ask you in name of all of us to approve the reforms.
1:53:10
But I also think that it's been hypocrite because New York Times has recognized our food and our sales, but we don't have the opportunities that we deserve to be able to sell them.
1:53:28
So that's why I say it's been hypocritical so far at this point.
1:53:53
Behind every street vendor, there's a person who has a business.
1:54:02
We are entrepreneurs and we want to help economy.
1:54:06
We actually help economy already and make it thrive, But we want to help even more.
1:54:13
We want to contribute even more.
