Good afternoon, Chair Brannan and Chair Hudson and the members of the Finance and Aging Committees.

As you know, I am Lorenco de Vazquez, Commissioner of New York City Department for the Aging, lovely known as NYC Aging.

I am joined by Jose Melcado, our Chief Financial Officer.

And I thank you for this opportunity to discuss our executive budget for FY '26.

It is so fitting that we are speaking with you today in May, which as you know is Older Americans Month.

And this month is a national time to acknowledge and promote the contributions of older adults.

It is also an opportunity for us to affirm our commitment as the largest area agency on aging in The United States to providing aging services and making New York City a truly age inclusive community.
