Brookfield Boulevard, in the executive plan there is $1,400,000 in federal funding added in fiscal twenty twenty five, '1 point '3 million in fiscal twenty twenty six, and $85,223 in fiscal twenty twenty seven for the Brookville Boulevard project.
1:04:15
What does the scope of this funding relate to and how also how has DOT conducted any other coastal studies in the Rockaways and what were the results of those?
1:05:12
And has DOT conducted any other coastal studies in Rockaway or across the city?
1:05:52
Thank you for that.
Paul Ochoa
1:04:29
Yeah.
1:04:30
Thanks councilmember.
1:04:31
The work is underway.
1:04:33
I believe as of last time they're still in the data collection phase.
1:04:36
It's planning grant, is really good because it helps us think about options for what an implementation project could look like.
1:04:43
This is an area with, as you know very well, with a lot of flooding.
1:04:48
So the other good news I would say is the grant agreement was signed in the last administration.
1:04:53
We do not believe that this funding is in jeopardy in any way.
1:04:59
And again, the work is underway, and hopefully it will tell us what a future project could look like, the scale of the project, the scope of the project, and what type of project would make sense in the future.
1:05:17
Yeah.
1:05:17
We we do have a this is the the largest resiliency planning work that we've undertaken.
1:05:25
Usually we partner with EDC.
1:05:29
For example, EDC is leading the Lower Manhattan Resiliency Project, the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project.
1:05:35
I don't see any East Side Coastal Resiliency people here.
1:05:40
We are venturing into this.
1:05:41
It's obviously a very important topic for us, and a topic that impacts our assets.
1:05:51
Hopefully we'll do more in the future.

1:05:55
Chair, just
Margaret Forgione
1:05:56
to follow-up on the previous questions, we are actually gonna be doing a public awareness campaign at the start of the expansion of the red light camera program very broadly so that people are aware that it is expanding citywide.
