Good afternoon, commissioner.
4:10:18
And to echo, the words of my colleagues, you will be sorely missed.
4:10:23
And I hope that we communicate through the future.
4:10:28
In some one way or another, our paths should cross again.
4:10:31
I have an intro in right now, intro 60.
4:10:36
As regards motorized vehicles being allowed in our parks.
4:10:41
I personally don't believe that motorized vehicles should be in our parks of any kind.
4:10:49
So I just want to put it forward to you and to the parks department.
4:10:54
What can we do starting I mean, I want to get it into committee.
4:10:58
I want to get it on the floor.
4:10:59
I want to get it voted on.
4:11:01
I these things are going at 30 miles an hour, and they're a hazard.
4:11:06
So I just want your feedback on that if I could get it.
4:12:12
Thank you.
4:12:13
We're doing the best we can.
4:12:14
The most important thing now, I think, is just to make it against the law Mhmm.
4:12:17
To pass the law that just does not allow
4:12:20
Alright.
4:12:21
Thank you very much.
Sue Donoghue
4:11:09
Mhmm.
4:11:09
Thank you, council member, for the question, and appreciate your concern.
4:11:15
We work really hard through signage, through enforcement, to make it clear that motorized vehicles are not allowed in our parks.
4:11:26
We have an extensive signage program.
4:11:29
We have worked hard through enforcement, especially on our busy park drives where we have days where our parks enforcement patrol is out with PD and stopping people, turning people away.
4:11:42
There is also the mayor's office has a micro mobility task force that is looking at this because it's a huge concern that's been raised at the mayor's town halls.
4:11:52
We absolutely are concerned about the safety of people in our parks.
4:11:56
And so I understand your concern.
4:11:58
It's something that we are very focused on.
4:12:00
Our PEP officers are focused on in PD, and, we've worked hard to, have it be that these types of motorized vehicles are not on our parks' roads.
4:12:20
it.
4:12:20
Mhmm.
