Commissioner Rodriguez details funding allocations for several major street reconstruction projects across the city.
- $101 million is allocated for street reconstruction projects that build out critical safety improvements in permanent concrete materials
- Key projects include:
- $79.6 million for phase four of the Queens Boulevard redesign (Yellowstone Boulevard to Union Turnpike)
- $13.3 million for the Northern Boulevard-Douglaston Connector project
- $4.7 million for the Van Sinderen Avenue streetscape project in the Broadway Junction area
- $3.7 million for the Park Avenue pedestrian safety improvement project near the BQE
