- For Open Streets, $2.1 million is added to replace federal funding

I'm so happy to say that in the in this budget, the mayor Eric Adams administration has stepped up with funding to support two hallmark public realm programs, Open Suite and Dining Out NYC.

These programs were critical lifeline for the city during the pandemic and recovery period, larger largely funded by federal coronavirus stimulus funds.

For OpenSuite, this budget adds 2,100,000.0 to replace the federal funding, which will allow us to continue supporting OpenSuite throughout the city.

Last month, we opened this season open suite with Car Free Air Day connecting open suite and plazas across the city while providing access to over 1,000 miles of New York City bike network and showcasing public art and community programming.

And looking ahead for this year's Summit Street, as the mayor announced, we are planning to extend to 400 blocks to celebrate the city four hundredth anniversary.
