It's a great honor to be here in my fourth time coming to testify in the executive budget on behalf of Mayor Eric Adams, Chair Brooke Powers, chair Brian and members of the committee on transportation and infrastructure and finance, thank you for the great work that you do at the council and all members of your committees.

Thank you for the opportunity to testify on behalf of mayor Eric Adams on DOT's fiscal year twenty six executive budget and fiscal year twenty five thirty five capital plan.

Within over $1,500,000,000 operating budget and 33,500,000,000.0 capital program, DOT had almost 6,000 employee safety and efficiency managed.

The numbers of vacancy that we have today is equal or similar to the pre pandemic number.

As mayor Adams announced, this is truly our best budget ever.

DOT's charge in the New York City charter is to provide for the safe and efficient and environmentally responsible movement of people and goods around our city while managing 26% of the city line, including 6,300 miles of a suite and highways, 12,000 miles of sidewalk.

And over 8,800 bridges and tunnels with both baseline funding and the approval of new needs for nearly every one of our six divisions.
