On behalf of New York Junior Tennis and Learning, NYJTL, and the 10,000 unique kids that we serviced last year and their parents, I wanna thank chair Brannan, chair Krishna for the opportunity that you have provided to these kids.

My name is Scott Daley.

I'm the senior director of NYJTL's free community tennis programs throughout the city Of New York.

You know, we've been in business for over fifty years and it's only because of the support we get from the New York City Council.

Last year, we were in 25 separate city parks throughout the city in all five boroughs, stretching from Creutona and Williams Bridge Oval in the Bronx, out to Wolf's Pond in Staten Island, to Forest Park in Traverse in Queens, we're all over.

The programs are free to anybody who wants it between the ages of five and 18 years of age.

We service not only kids that wanna come out for free, but we have schools that come out to us.

We don't discriminate, we take everybody there.

What do we need?

We need to expand.

I want to expand our programs.

Right now, we're gonna run over a hundred programs this year alone in fiscal year twenty five.

What impact do we have?

I mentioned we have 10,000 uniquely enrolled kids.

Over 70% of these participants are 10 years of age and younger.

This is the target group that we want.

75% are black, African American, Latino or Asian.

Eighty percent of our families that we service are low income according to New York City area median income.

75% of our coaches come up through our programs.

During the summer, we're gonna have 50% of the high school students and college kids who have come up through us.

We're asking for a million dollars this year.

We got cut seventeen years ago.

Costs, as you know, have skyrocketed in that time.
