Hello.
5:09:04
My name is Christopher Leon Johnson.
5:09:05
Thank you chairs Brannen and, Franks.
5:09:07
Thanks for having us here and Sanchez.
5:09:09
I know who's on Zoom.
5:09:10
So I wanna give my support to this, this committee, but we need to push for workforce housing.
5:09:16
I know, mister Brandon, you work for controller.
5:09:18
You need to push for more workforce housing with this, affordable housing stuff.
5:09:24
What's the point of having affordable housing when nobody can't afford it?
5:09:26
I believe that this type of housing will help a lot of people out who are working.
5:09:31
The order b, I believe that this type of housing, needs to be, implemented.
5:09:36
I think with you and yourself and, senator Kevin Parker, y'all need to have a a bill into the state senate to push for more workforce housing and allocate more money to workforce housing and need to put money up, like, let's say about $5,000,000 into research into, on to workforce housing in this budget for people that are working.
5:09:55
I believe that workforce housing is a way better alternative than, of this regular housing and supportive housing.
5:10:02
And one more thing, like I said, this and like I said, as your finance chair, Brandon, I know you live in Coney Island.
5:10:09
We like I said before, you need to push from that liberista outside of city hall as the finance chair.
5:10:16
At the same time, we need to make sure that these liberistas and, street vendors are counted in this work for house initiative because they are essential workers just as just as a regular person.
5:10:27
Like I said, I know you didn't get it the work of a controller, and like I said, you can work with your partner, Parker, to introduce a bill to add the laboristas and street vendors as members of the workforce, workforce project for this workforce housing.
5:10:42
So like I said, push for more workforce housing in this budget and the next budget coming up.
5:10:46
If you have a must be control of the city, you need to really push for this more into the affordable into the housing housing plan for f y twenty seven.
5:10:55
If you must become controller, if for how workforce housing instead of supportive housing.
5:11:01
A lot of people work in the city.
5:11:02
They have a job.
5:11:03
They share them and will live in a good place, not just be
5:11:09
You.
5:11:09
Thank you, chairs.
Gale A. Brewer
5:11:05
