He focuses on two main issues: class sizes given the mandate and the importance of early childhood education. Krishnan asks about the overall vision for lowering class sizes and when the amount of funding per school will be released.

  • Krishnan emphasizes the importance of these topics to the council and the city
  • He requests information on the DOE's plans for implementing class size reductions
  • The council member seeks clarity on the timeline for releasing school-specific funding information

Good more afternoon, everyone.
1:56:09
Thanks so much for your testimony.
1:56:12
At this point, a lot of the the questions I had have already been asked, so I'm gonna, try to, cut it and just a couple of points I wanted to make in just one question.
1:56:20
So I think this one may be a repeat, so I apologize for that.
1:56:23
But just wanted to get a sense, you know, I think the biggest issues that we're talking about and you're hearing from all the questions are one, class sizes given the mandate, and two, early childhood education and the importance of it to this council, to this city.
1:56:38
So first, going to class sizes.
1:56:41
So there does and you again, you may have answered this one already, but given the difference between what's in the executive budget for next year and the out years as opposed to what's needed, what is the overall vision to spend with what you've projected for lowering class size, and when will you release the amount of funding per school?
