During our preliminary budget hearing H and stated that the timeline for the Hood Hall units construction was delayed beyond the original estimated completion date of 2027.

H and H also stated that you you were still waiting for the feedback on the design from DDC after which you would be able to begin the contracting process.

Hi.
Dr. Patsy Yang
0:56:13
Thank you.
0:56:13
The hope is still to target 2027 for the completion of construction for the units at North Central Bronx and Woodhall.
0:56:25
Design is still pending finalization, so we are still waiting for the Department of Correction and the State Commission on Correction to give us feedback.
0:56:35
It is getting tight, but we are still hoping for that.

In the fiscal twenty twenty five, twenty twenty nine executive commitment plan, the total funding for the North Central Bronx Outpost Unit remains unchanged at 265,600,000.0, 60 9 point 6 million compared to the preliminary commitment plan however about 135,000,000 of the funding was rolled from fiscal twenty twenty five and fiscal twenty twenty six into fiscal twenty twenty seven.
0:57:08
Why was the funding rolled into fiscal twenty twenty seven?
0:57:12
Is it due to a delay in the construction timeline?
Dr. Patsy Yang
0:57:16
My understanding is that the the rolling of the funds is aligned with our targeted of 2027 completion of construction.
0:57:25
It's sort of moving it from the savings account to the checking account so we can actually start that work.
Mercedes Narcisse
0:57:31
Okay, I'm gonna do a last question so I can pass it back to my colleagues.
0:57:35
At the preliminary budget hearing you stated that the timeline for the North Central Bronx Outpost unit was delayed beyond the original estimated completion date of 2027 for the same reason as the Hood Hall unit.
0:57:48
What is the new timeline for the completion?
0:57:51
Do you believe that the project will be completed on time?
Dr. Patsy Yang
0:57:55
It remains still 2027, end of '20 '20 '7 completion for both both units.
